Just saw this on Monument metals. Looks like they are out and ready for order. Was hoping the premium would be slightly smaller this year but guess not...

Spare a thought for the poor Europeans who will have to pay at least an extra two dollars minimum on top of what you paid.😭😭😭

I see the mintage on this one is only 33,000 where last years one is listed as 45,000 and the 2017 was 50,000 - lack of demand or opportunity to hold a harder to obtain medal going forward as the 2016 one was a 30,000 mintage and they have shown a big increase in premium over the last few years?

I think Komsco hurt the series by adding too many low mintage sizes, privy’s etc..I think people that liked collecting the series gave up. Its tough to justify paying $380 for a 10 oz silver medal... I admit, I have been close to bailing on the series (even the entire mint itself) a few times. I will get the 2019’s but that will probably end my collection.

I see that the 2019 CHIWOO CHEONWANG silver proof doesn't come with a capsule on goldsilver.be. €71.39

Although they do give you the option of purchasing a capsule as an extra.

That's seems a bit odd to me or is that the norm?I've never bought a proof coin before.

I've just for one of these in 1 oz silver. Are they worth investing in as a series? How many would I have to backdate etc? Also got the year before (I think) on a horse

I deeply regret not getting in on Chiwoo from the beginning.  Just from the pictures I think the 2017 Chiwoo might be the most awesome 1 oz. coin/medal out there. They seem to show a lot of appreciation and the mintage is fairly limited. If you like them you should do it.

The original Chiwoo (2016) coin sells for about 70 quid nowadays. The 2017 coin is also on horse back but seen from a greater distance.  I assume you have the 2018 (again on horse back but close up) and 2019 which is a full body shot of him looking all heroic next to a big ass shield and sword.  You also have Zi Sin Scrofa which is the third in a 12 part set.  The Zi Sin coins are KOMSCO mints attempt to do an alternative to the Lunar coins.  The other two you are missing are Zi Sin Canis and Zi Sin Gallus.  If you dont want to pay 70 quid to collect Chiwoo coins the Zi Sin set is still really cheap.  For some reason I dont feel there is a massive amount of love for the Zi Sin set but I think they are awesome.
