I ordered my first 1/2 soverigne off there Last month. Quick and easy. Had no issues. Only got one from them as they had an offer on otherwise I find them to be quite high in price. I use atkinson for my QB. Get a good price from them. Does help as I don't pay VAT on silver as I'm from Channel Islands but even with the VAT would of been a good price

I don't like the buying experience on the Royal Mint Bullion website at all.  It's a complete faff compared to Atkinsons or Bullion By Post, for example.  I only buy from them if the items in question are MUCH cheaper than elsewhere.

I just created a account with the royal mint today, i want to get my hands on some Queens beast and some other British coins, have any of you guys ordered from them ?

If so what’s your opinions on there service

I have happily purchased from them in the past and find their customer service to be excellent. Fast turn around. Secure packaging. But keep your eye on price - you can do better as mentioned already.

If you are in Canada as your profile says then I would strongly advise looking at local or other Canadian dealers first. Most of the bigger dealers will offer free shipping above a certain threshold and the prices will almost certainly be lower. It might even be worth checking out options south of the border like Apmex. Not only will you almost certainly be able to find the coins at lower prices but I really shudder to think what the shipping from UK to Canada would be.

The above really only relates to bullion grade coins. If you are after proof grade coins than getting them direct from The Royal Mint might be your best (and I suspect in some cases only) option.

Of course shipping is expensive, it´s 12,50 GBP to Germany. But they respond very quickly and have an excellent packaging. They ship with Royal Mail to Germany, so it´s DHL here, which is more suitable for my needs. For example the US Mint ships with UPS, they are far more unflexible for privat buyers.

Why not to buy from Canadian or US dealers as you're from Canada?

There are a way bigger selection and I suppose lower prices (you'll definitely save on shipping).

You can compare price here https://findcoinonline.com/compare-prices?search_query=queen's beasts
