New website to help buying

Hi guys! I'm always checking and rechecking coininvest, stg, silberwerte, etc to see if they have new products, price changes, etc.

So I decided to make a little web site that will check every 10 minutes every site and save the data in to a local database.

For the moment I've made a test with the gold section of coininvest.com and the goal is to offer a sortable table to see the best option if we are looking at price/gold content.

I think that tomorrow morning I will have the beta site running with this test and you will be able to see all the coininvest stock in real time with price, weight, price/oz, price/gram, premium :) and help you choose the correct bullion!

Here I give you an screenshoot with the current scraping of the web (partial).

ive just had a tinker around with the site RBG and it is very useful indeed.  Just exactly what is says in the tin.

Many, many thanks for taking the time and efforts to do this for us.

The addition of GBP (£) & (S) is awesome addition over the weekend and im sure much appreciated by our UK folk here

Without a calculator you would have thought price per (g) for a 1kg coin would be much cheaper than a bog standard 1oz maple/philharmonic. How wrong you would be !

The other thing to make it yet more awesome would be adding the other bullion dealers in UK & Germany that have real-time price adjustment

(  @RGB   For yourself personally if you could manage to negotiate and secure an affiliate/commission link to each site/dealer it could be lucrative for you long term ;) ;) ;)  )

@RBG

personal preference for UK dealers is

http://atkinsonsbullion.com/ (always updates realtime)

http://bullionrock.com (use real time pricing)

http://www.bullionuk.com/  (i think they use real time pricing)

http://www.thegoldbullion.co.uk/ (they use real time pricing)

http://taxfreegold.co.uk  (chards)  i think it realtime updates for 'new' products but not everything on their site.  Site is god awful to use so no worries with this site)

Others one is :

hattongardenmetals = http://www.hattongardenmetals.com/buy/Default.aspx?CategoryID=all

but i thnk they still use the AM and PM London spot prices and don't do real time

BullionByPost.com also offer real time pricing but is not worth your efforts adding them as they are always very expensive and not competitive on price or morals/business ethics

@RGB

dont worry yourself too much about those with the mess web sites

Atkinsons is probaly the dealer of choice for most UK buyer here here as they always come out quite competitive and HGM is a daily visit for most given their flat rate policy of (in most cases) 3% over spot for any gold coin/bar (4% for sovereigns).  They have had more business from me than any other UK dealers

Even if you could just add these two UK dealers  atkinsons & HGM that would be awesome

bullionrock/bullionUK/chards taxgreegold not to worry
