Don't know much about these, just that there are no bullion versions in the last years. Can someone find such coins in bullion prices?

With a cursory Google search, it seems you can find them at <20% premium. Not too bad given the low mintages.

With a more refined search... I don't know.

Thanks for all the info and yes when I say Double Sovereign I don't mean a same size 2£ denomination coin. Seems that the last non proof came out before the war except a BU a few years ago. I would like to have something but wouldn't want to pay more than two sovereigns cost.

Going to be tough @Gildeon as like you say most are proofs.

I took a chance on a lucky dip double last year from HGM and got lucky with a 1990 G&D. Cost £486 delivered. 6.5% premium.

Georgie (a little bit porgie), "I'm about to stab this dragon"

Dragon, "Lets see if I lore him in with stick the tongue out trick"

What happens next? ….

Horse loses his footing on slippery surface.  Falls on it's arse.  Dragon fly's off laughing.

Hence the queens beast #4.  "horse sat on it arse without Georgie." 🤣
