Prices for Half Sovereign Shieldbacks

Recommended Posts

Once upon a time when you sold to HGM you could expect around 98% of spot and when you purchased from HGM you would pay from 3% to 5% over spot.
They didn't care about the age of the coin, proof, etc just the weight of gold.

Just had a look at their website tonight and was interested to see the difference between buyback and selling price of shield HS's.
Are they turning into a BullionbyPost ?

I don't know who buys from them these days. I'm surprised they are still in business. It's a bloody same as they were great to deal with in the past and the customer service was a1.

Used to buy all of their stock as soon as it hit the website, have not purchased from them since they raised their prices (a year ago?)

They are a business, no doubt they are selling everything they acquire so if someone is willing to buy then fair enough, it's just not me (or many smart buyers!)
