Fake sovereigns sold on ebay why people bidding!!!

Sadly ebay doesn't seem to have any interest in getting involved when concerns are raised over a coin being fake. I used to dutifully report every fake coin listing I came across but frankly stopped bothering after seeing ebay continually do nothing about the reports. I don't know if there is some mechanism by which this could be officially raised as a complaint against ebay to try to force their hand on at least responding to reports. It saddens me whenever I see a clearly fake 1oz silver maple leaf selling for the value of a real maple leaf but that is nothing compared to this. That being said there needs to be some responsibility placed on the buyer who should be educating themselves before dropping several hundred £s on a coin. Hopefully the buyers of these realised with enough time and were able to get their money back.

Maybe they are fake bids

Very much so, looking at the bids same two bidders rise the price up to ~200 then bail out.  Makes the price look "right" for others. Oddly on two a brand new bidder was winner.
