@Wonger:

I would explain it to you, but I don't have any puppets and large colourful crayons to enable you to understand.

About that bet with Sixgun, if you are struggling for the money, why not do some extra chores for your mum, like putting the bins out, tidy your room or something? She might advance you some extra pocket money.

Could be a tough N/L to break through on the inv. H&S in this 1.32-33 area.

Good luck with your GBP Longs and XAG XAU shorts.

I'm on the opposite side of you and remaining Long XAU/GBP.

Let's see where we are in a month or two, happy to be right or wrong.

Have I upset you in some way?

why would a stacker hedge their physical silver bullion when

at current prices anyone who have been stacking for less

than 7 years is almost certain to be in the red on the

average price/oz?

I advised it on the 25/02 when Silver was $16 to help them out and those that did have thanked me! 😀

I was referring to silver at $16/oz before the move

down, where holders of physical silver bullion are

still underwater.

What do you expect me to do make them whole? I cant work miracles!

They are still short as am I having hedged their stack and have locked in profit now no matter what happens, they are quite happy to be in this situation.

I'm saying hedging is the risky thing to do at these prices($16).

if you have calculated an opportunity to short and make a profit,

then do so if it fits your risk/reward ratio. there's nothing wrong

with shorting provided you've got a reasonable trading strategy.

make the calculations to short, why complicate things trying to

hedge physical holdings?

hedging means locking in a price. why would you lock in a long

position that's barely off multi year lows and has yet to see a

profit?

I would advise and expect anyone reading this thread to not make any investment decisions on the basis that I refuse to accept an absurd offer of a £100 bet with someone whom either has an extremely bad memory or is just plain dishonest regarding their accusation that I had altered the originating post on this thread, only they can explain why they felt the need to act in this manner which to me identifies as a rather desperate situation they felt themselves in considering any edits to the originating post can be quite easily factually proven. I am not here to participate in nonsensical discussion as they have been informed.

Sounds like a real trader ( @RichRock ) has called you out and you don't have the balls to back up all the chit you're chatting ;)

Come on, a £100 bet is nothing for you.  Lets make it really interesting and the loser has to pay the £100 to the Children with Cancer charity that is being supported by forum members here.  I'm sure @sixgun will agree to that.

Because the price was more likely to go down than up!

then short it, you can short it without locking in your

physical silver holdings at the current price.

just for the record, I'm predicting lower prices. but I'm

not recommending to hedge physical silver holdings.

I could make it interesting even quicker and bet Silver has a $13 handle by Friday's close if I so wished!😀

I'll take you up on that.

let's make it fun rather than about profit.

(if you wanted to win profits there's always the

markets)

I bet it won't drop to $13 before end of this weeks

trading.

loser pays £1 to any charity :)

I would reply in detail but Im a bit pushed for time as just popping into WhiteHall for a Government meeting! 😀

It's shame you didn't state you are part of the deep state before (unless I have missed it), I could have discredited your advice straight away. Now that I know, whatever you advice, chances are, doing the opposite is advisable. Thanks for the udpate on who you are!
