I think that Royal Mint should step out of capsules(anyone can open and change for copper proof sovereign) and start sell preslabbed products. What do you think?

Most things can be copied so I dont think it will make much difference.

I agree with @danmc82, a slab would just be cost which would be passed on to us, and if anything might be easier to copy.. if you see well faked packaging you might be less vigilant regarding the coin itself

I am not sure about sovereigns but I have seen a Royal Mint box with an NGC slabbed Britannia in it.  I assumed it was done for the US market.  The RM leaflet even had a name for it "Graded Presentation".

The more fancy the packaging the more it can lull the newbie into a false sense of security on the secondary market.

Plenty of fake NGC/PCGS slabs out there.

 

I would rather a a capsule that can be easily opened and the coin tested inside.

This is true, and it seems to me that they partner only with MCM for their graded products.  For example, the Queen's Beast Falcon has a maximum mintage of 5,650.  Of this number 5,500 are the "limited edition presentation" sold by the Royal Mint.  The remaining 150 are the First 150 Struck sold by MCM, which have a special "graded presentation" COA.  The picture below shows this COA...it's the same as the normal one except it specifies that it is for the graded presentation.  Since MCM sells 150 of these, and the max mintage is 5,650, they must be the only partner for graded proofs.
