European Mint orders

Achillies

Recommended Posts

Hi guys and gals!

Im fairly new to the forum and just had a quick question about buying silver from Europe, particularly for example, I have noticed Backyard Bullion arranging group orders from the European mint and I would like to get more experienced members advice about this.

So, buying Silver from Europe doesn’t seem to incur the 20% VAT charge we have to pay here in the UK which is great. But, apart from postage, does this incur any additional charges such as import tax? And is the loophole of not paying VAT strictly legal?

I’m really just looking for reassurance, due to a natural suspicion of good things happening 😂

Thanks for your help,

Achillies

To answer your questions, No and Yes 😎, up until Brexit at least, then you'll take a high powered boat across the channel where an awaiting car and a man in dark sunglasses will meet you

Nothing illegal about it - it is just one the benefits of the EU free trade zone.

No import charges when you bring it into the UK - right now, Brexit might and probably will change that.

Thank you for the reassurance, I knew it wouldn’t be, I just had to ask 😂

Absolutely Amazing though!  I suppose finding out about it two paydays before Brexit is sort of lucky 😭🤣

Better late than never! But yes, as the others say, completely legal. And decent value. Fill yer boots!

Mostly agree @Bullionaire

😉👍
