Well I gave the RM a buzz. The customer service person is checking if there’s a reserve list. No way am I bloody paying £300, cheeky git**

**Disclamer - I’d be doing exactly the same, if I was in their position 🤣

Currently building my silver stack so looking for Kooks, Koalas, Eagles & Pandas

Outside of silver I also run a technology YouTube channel http://youtube.com/thenorthernblogger

Didn't even know it was going on sale today. Bugger!

That is why I think it would be useful for the Royal Mint to publish a list of issue dates and then we would all know.

They were on the RM site at midnight but you couldnt buy until 9am and without the mintage info and price.

If I knew the mintage was going to be so low I would've put more effort in.

I am astounded to see the price that the Cupro-nickel proof set is selling for on ebay. There are quite a few that have sold for between £259 - £285. Madness

I'm still trying to figure out the appeal of this set? Is is the Kew? But it's 2019 dated!

Different strokes for different folks I guess in this collecting game!

Yes, I got an eemail from them today saying I still had one in my cart at £285 and for a laugh I went to check out.....the price then read over £500. Needless to say, I politely declined their fabulous offer.

Also got an email from the RM with the usual guff about their system...blah blah blah and they would let me know at the end of the week....not holding my breath.....and hopefully failed so I can spend on more sovs to be honest.

Going rate on eBay is £450 So doubt they sell you at £280😁

I think the prices will remain higher than the issuing price as the mintage is reasonably low at 1,969 but the current prices will not last I feel.....it is a well beaten path.....

Mind you, if The RM says I have been successful, that would be ok too I guess as I dont pay VAT so would get it for under £200 but as I say, I am not holding my breath.
