Evening all,

Just signed up to the forum and thought i would introduce myself although i have been browsing for a while. And I have a question, although some background first.

I first heard if stacking while on a delayed (again) train from work when i picked up a magazine with an article  on physical  silver collecting which peaked my interest. After some research i decided to start and focus purely on buying as cheap as possible and build up a stack for my retirement/kids inheritance.

Since then i have gone on to buy the Queens Beast series, high margin 1oz bars and am now eyeing up a silver bullet, just because.

So my question - Is this love of pretty/interesting silver normal?

Looking forward to being here and learning with the forums help.

Hi and welcome, i'm interested in how old you are, if you are going to stack just silver and want to continue until retirement you need to think about how much silver that might well be and where you're going to store it all, it can really mount up if you are for example 30 or so, you have 35 years of silver collected and lying around somewhere and you or your kids have to move it all somehow.

You may want to look at deviating eventually into gold or platinum or both........Just a thought

I am mid 40's. I work as a contractor so my income is variable. I buy when i can. I bought 1gm of gold as a tester and was amazed as to how small it was (despite the comments on this forum). Will continue wirh the silver for a bit, but you never know.....

Yeah, 1g won't attract anyone into that area, maybe get a sovereign or a 1/4oz queens beast, you might think differently
