Rotated Shield Back Sovereign !

Sovereign

Recommended Posts

It's not a rare year, is a gVF grade and has a die rotation, so is essentially a manufacturing fault. It's rotated more than you usually see but would NGC or PCGS grade it as an error?

Also bear in mind every coin produced from this die pair will be the same so not rare. People don't generally check for these so most are missed.

Drake is also calling it an error but has PCGS called It an error, I doubt it, so just a bit of spin by the seller playing on its rotation, for me it’s a £300 ish coin which you can probably find in better raw grade elsewhere for much less money.
