Britannia Bars

Do the pictures do them justice? They appear to be the nicest looking bars on the market from just looking at photos.

Not stacking bars but I do have two of these Britannia bars and am hoping to add another eight to the stack to complete a collection of 10 but not paying more than £150 per 10 oz bar. Amazing bar in my opinion.

They are indeed very fine looking bars, and are most definitely on my shopping list - though as Abyss says, at no more than £150 per 10oz bar.

I agree they look great. I,m just starting off and was wondering about the bar v coin. I would love a few bars but can't get me head around the vat part? Are bars worth getting against coin as in my young stacking mind keeps thinking about the extra coin i could buy with the £ from vat? Cheers

you pay vat on the coins too 🤔 or do you mean something else? One thing bars have going for them over coins in my book is,It don't matter so much about milk spots or stuff on bars.

It depends how/what you wanna collect/stack really.

I've just received an email from goldsilver.com showing that they can sell to US customers for the equivalent of £126.

That's less than UK dealers before VAT is added.

I've never used them so don't know if the wire discount applies to non-US.

I couldn't stand it any longer. Went ahead and ordered a 10 oz Britannia.......and a 10 oz Pamp Suisse Lady Fortuna........and a 10 oz Sunshine Mint........and 40 mixed year Silver Eagles. 

It's a sickness. So I pretty much blew my budget for the next three months.  Oh well.

These are indeed gorgeous bars, and the premiums on them are rather low at the moment. Britannias in general have low premiums – I've never understood why. The RCM bars are also usually a good buy, and I like that they're 9999 silver (though no else seems to care...) I've noticed that the Queen's Beasts from the RM are also 9999 silver, but not the Britannias for some reason.

They do seem to be a great bargain for "Vanity" bars or "Art" bars. I think they are just as nice as the Pamp, and look at those premiums.

Some nice choices! I do love my PAMP's....I think a kilo bar will be purchased in new year, accept premium on these but love them.

The premium is a bit high in my opinion, but I don't look at this as an investment for investment's sake. More as a treat to myself to have something that I want for the sheer pleasure of it.
