Cool series, I tried to subscribe but can't see anything about shipping costs..

@FFkook once you have paid on their site, they will send you an email confirming your order. The email adds that they will contact you again once the coin is ready for dispatch along with the shipping costs at that time. A bit of a fuss but a nice coin all the same

Okay, found somewhere on the site saying 17 euros shipping outside Austria, hope that doesnt count when getting just 1 coin though!

Wouldn't surprise me as it would be 12 euros postage for a coin from the banks shop locally in luxembourg

Has anyone experience with traveling with silver coins? As I will be in Austria in February, I might pick one up, possibly even a full tube - in case they will be available already. Not entirly clear from the link - does anyone know?

From Austria to the UK?

Personal experience: No problem at all.

As part of the great repatriation,  I carried a great deal of silver into the UK from the EU and had no issues. On two occasions I was asked discreetly if the content was 'silver money' and then waved through.

The biggest challenge is the weight!

Technically, alcohol is a solution..

'It [socialism] poses a growing threat, however unintentional, to the freedom of this country, for there is no freedom where the State totally controls the economy. Personal freedom and economic freedom are indivisible. You can’t have one without the other. You can’t lose one without losing the other.'

"There is no such thing as public money, there is only taxpayers' money"

Let not England forget her precedence of teaching nations how to live.

Just my personal view:

Question is will it be still available in February with them?

Austrian Mint issuing base metal coins (3 Euro animal series) with 50k mintage and it is sold out within hours

Now they are issuing silver bullion series with a premium that is still fair - can't imagine that it will hold that long before sold out - especially when I see that Philharmonic sales are @ 3 - 5 million a year - 100k seems little tiny then

I am not too sure... Such coin drawings look much more detailled than the real thing. But I guess I'll buy them anyway.

Anyway, maybe we could have a TSF gathering in Vienna on the day of issue? :D

Flights between Vienna and London take 2 to 2:15 hours each way and can cost as little as 21€ both ways.
