New Silver 10oz Chiwoo Cheonwang BU 2018

These crazy premiums over spot have really been wearing on me lately. I am changing up the way I look at over priced coins. The first thing I ask myself is how much would Apmex pay me for this coin if I turned around and sold it back to them right after I bought it? And the answer is somewhere around $150.00. That's a $250 loss. All profit is made at the point of sale. To be honest, limited mintages mean nothing if only a handful of people want the coin. For $400 I can get 23 American silver eagles and sell them for .50-$3.00 over spot depending on the buy sell spread at the time of sale. It is a beautiful coin but I am learning to leave my emotions out of it. To be honest the market is way over saturated with coins. Right now the only people making money is the online dealers that are selling these coins. I think some folks are inadvertently giving out bad advice by saying "buy it because you like it". That's an emotional purchase. In all reality a person would most likely have to wait until silver hits $40 an ounce just to break even on this coin. I am in it for the long run but purchases still need to be made with point of sale at the fore front.

I like the design but no way i'm going to pay over $400 (+30% VAT) for this coin. However i do like the 10oz coins i'll pass this one.

Agreed! Now the queens beast 10oz. coins are around $170. Thats alot closer to reality...
