This is the first non-bullion coin I have bought.

Thanks to Shadow Stack for the heads up and promo code.

Lets say this is a hit, the Peter Rabbit 50p Silver Proof from 2016 is going for £700 on ebay, but how much would a coin dealer actually pay you for one of those today? Are these easy to sell without going down the ebay route?

I am shocked how much they are selling for, no wonder these snowmen went fast!

But in response to your question, not much i would think. and certainly not even close to ebay prices. these are probably fad coins with unsustainable prices.

8 grams of silver is not worth over £500, no matter how few are minted.

8 gram silver proof peter rabbit coin, or a brand new 2019 proof sovereign with 8 grams approx 22ct gold with change...yeah let me mull that one over for a while😆

Thanks, thought as much.

Does anybody have any recommendations as to where in London you would go to sell this sort of thing?

I think Hatton Garden Metals would only give you £2 regardless of how nice the paint job is 😁

Neither is 8 grams of gold in my opinion 😋

Well that made the debate to should I buy or not alot easier. Although now I can't have one, I want one lol

Get one of eBay for around £90, you never know that might be cheap compared to this time next year.

Or check item number 264024989244

They might drop down after the hype,is the snowman xmas tv thing that well known around the world.over say the peter rabbit coins etc etc

I think they will, but compared to Peter they have recurring seasonal significance, and this is a one-off. Well, there may be one in further years, but that will only add to the desirability of these for me if they become the start of a 'collection'.
