This would never go a dedicated gold/silver bug.

The better way to ask is ... There's a fire in your house.  You've saved all your precious metals, they are outside stored in a safe locked place where they will easily survive the fire, but ... oh no! ... your family is still inside!  You look inside and see they are about to get liquidated(!), what do you do ? ...
