Yes, it is a bit isn't it?

I was trying to establish an exit strategy. Is there a market for these here? I was testing the waters so to speak.

I don't have one for sale so I put it in this section not the sales section.

Suggestions?

It was probably a better idea to just ask you @augur or Pete or vand.

Regardless of time, do you think it will be easy to sell Platinum?

There seems to be a rising interest in fractional platinum to diversify without having to fork out for an entire ounce.

Alongside platinum is becoming more interesting at the current price and it has been trying to break out today and in the past more vehemently than gold or silver.

Will it be easy to sell? Depends on how much above spot you are asking for.

When the time comes to sell there will be no issue with liquidity or recouping premium.

Are you in agreement that the Platinum secondary market will develop akin to that of silver and gold?

All I know is when the price of anything is high, people will be much more interested in buying, they will pay the premium to get hold of some.

I think naturally dealers will want to get on the band wagon yes, but it won't matter if they don't.

I can't explain it, but I was never interested in platinum.  Not platinum jewelry, platinum coins, none of it.  Silver, gold, yes and yes, to me they've always been "precious metals", money, but for unknown reasons (unknown to me anyway) platinum has never held a spot in my heart.  Platinum to me is like Palladium, Rodium, Iridium, etc, like some kind of rare material with special magical powers, but not money.  Maybe it's just because platinum wasn't historically money (in general).

I don't want to rain on Roy's parade, but you can buy 1/10th brits for less than his quoted price from GS.be right now... Why would you want to pay more? So £85, no interest. £75, yeah I'm interested.

I realise there's all the "support the forum" stuff, but to me its "all just platinum." I just want the lowest price.. the price is the whole reason why I'm keen on it at the moment.

And I try to support the forum... by stimulating discussion :)

Or, to say that a different way ... I have no more moral obligation to insure the forum owners future financial success than s/he has to insure mine.

Platinum is a nice metal and looks good but only worth getting in fractionals just to be on the safe side.

I agree, ounces will be difficult to move, especially if the price goes up. The only problem is the very limited choice in bullion prices. Actually I'm not sure if there is anything else except the 1/10 Britannia at the moment.
