Last year if I remember rightly, the eBay discount came between Christmas & New Year, I think it was 15% off? But my memory isn’t that good.  

The reason I vaguely remember is because I was doing a string of night shifts so I was fast asleep when the discount hit, and in ignorance of it, until it was all over.

I agree here. Rumor has it that eBay does those 10% or the rarer seen 15% off deals when they need to show a jump in sales. Whether that is true or not I have no idea but it would make sense given how random they have traditionally been. I wouldn't expect one until the new year when sales traditionally stagnate. My guess for eBay is that they'll partner with some of their bigger sellers (Argos, AO, etc) to highlight some "deals" for Black Friday which I believe is what they did last year.

This is obviously just a guess. At this point it would be worth waiting a couple days to see what actually happens just in case
