Yup, sold out in 5 mins.  Luckily I was able to get one.

Lots of dealers were asking for people to buy and resale to them.  I'm trying to decide if I should sell it immediately and make a quick $200 or hold onto it for possible more value in the future.  I was originally planning on buying it for my own collection before the offers came in.  Not sure how the prices will do if the market suddenly becomes flooded with the dealer graded coins in about a month.  I have 3 hours to think about it before the offer expires.

If you see the price appreciation for the BU version of 2017 my guess is this should be a winner... Ofcourse there are never guarantees and the mintage of 15.000 pieces can be a serious fact to consider...

Got one as well, the ordering system got messed up in the middle and luckily still went through in the end... In noon EST today you can imagine thousands of people with eyes glued to their computer screen and keep refreshing the US mint order page😏 5 minutes later there will be cheers and curses.

Many dealers are paying more to buy one from those who got it.

People think this is a short-term flip (given how soft platinum issues are in the long run). But the design is beautiful and clearly people loved 2017 BU version which had the same design.

I saw some big dealers now offering $300-$400, so APMEX and Provident are giving people lowball offers.

The 70 graded First Strike/Early Release has potential to sell for $3000+ for the frenzy. I'm submitting mine as soon as I got it.

I googled your phone number and it suggests that you're a dealer.  What's the business name?

Also, if you want to advertise as an dealer on the forum please view the gold membership.

OK, presale from APMEX on their exclusive black label PCGS PR70 First Strike has started. Again they used step-up pricing to gauge monopoly prices (and one doesn't even get alerts because the stocks went poof so fast).

Initial batch: 3 coins @ $2795, gone in 2 minutes

Second batch: 5 coins @2995, gone in 5 minutes

I can't believe how popular this coin is, it is certainly very exciting. I'm guessing actual sale of PCGS PR70 FS special labels could go up to $3500 range. Incredible!

I strongly suggest those who obtained the raw one to check the coin and if in good quality, submit for grading.

Good profits to be made in a short time!

The US collectors are simply devoid of nice issues for a while and got way too excited for a beautiful coin like this lol

Also, please be mindful of dealer offers, right now it's easy to sell the raw coin for more even if they pay a $300+ premium. But if someone established is willing to pay you $600+ for raw and covers shipping, I'd say it's a great deal.

Long term wise the price may go down as this clearly is a lot of hype. But really it depends on demand and what the mint is gonna do next.

I purchased one of these! I'm torn between just selling it outright or trying to get it graded and doing the longer flip. I think the value and hype factor will hold for roughly a year until they release the next edition. Definitely feels like trying to get it graded would be a bit of a gamble. Do you think if the coin were to get a 69 in grading that it would cover the grading costs when you go to sell it?   This is my first post on the silver forum, by the way! Happy to be part of the community! 😃

For retail it's about $90 to grade PCGS with first strike label if you only submit one coin. PCGS is more expensive than NGC in grading but generally fetches a premium in US on these modern issues.

And I recon PF69 FS would at least bring $150 premium to whatever raw coin is traded at that time (probably can get at least $2000), where PR70 FS would sell for >=$3000. 70 grade through rate should be pretty high unless the mint screws up.
