THE NEXT QUEENS BEAST (I DONT LIKE IT)

If this is the design of the next queens beast coin I aint impressed, it looks totally bland compared to all the excellent coins before it, there is no textured design on the background of the eagle, a prominent feature of this series, what do you guys think to it.

Think the picture is of the proof , afaik all the proofs are a plain background and the bullions have the textured . I think it's another good design personally .

Has Jody Clark ever done a bad design ?

i don't like it either. the others look very strong and mighty. this seems like if fell short of all expectations.

Ahhh, if it has a textured background like the others then I think I would like it.

It looks like Edward beat them to it. I think they should have used this image for the coin.

I don't find the german eagle overly close to the falcon except in pose. 

This US Eagle is much closer to the falcon on the coin

Its not perfect but I like it. Something is not quite right with it, I think its the eye in particular. Looks more like the pidgeon of the Plantagenets. 

Interesting how everyone compares it to the nazi eagle as opposed to the US one, or even the weimar republic design for that matter. You are all brain washed.

Does anyone know when the bullion versions will be released? Not a fan but hoping the bullion version will look better. I wasnt keen on the bull at first but now i like it so i hope this is a grower!

The 2oz will be out in September and then the 10oz next year. There is a 10oz QB coming out in September but can’t remember which one.

Didn’t ask about the Gold coins, sadly don’t have that much to play with yet. I just went onto the usual royal mint bullion page and a chat box was available so just asked them there, seemed very helpful.
