Where to begin?

Hi all, I'm Steve, I've been a keen watch collector for many years and now silver stacking has pricked my interest.  After spending many hours watching YouTube (BYB) and scouring the net,  the Silver forum seems the best place a Brit can go for advice on all things related to stacking.  I think I'm now ready to make an initial purchase, maybe just a few ounces of silver to get me started.  So where do I go, do I place an order as part of this months group order, or go to an online dealer such as Silver to Go and get experience of purchasing through them?  It's all a bit daunting at first and I don't want to have regrets making my first purchase.

I'm sure the experienced members reading my post, can recal having the same concerns when you first began stacking, what did you learn and what advice would you give.

Thanks in advance for any advice you offer.

Hello Steve and welcome.

I would take advantage and safety of the group order. Once you get the hang of what you want, then you can branch out. You have to factor in shipping which can be expensive from Europe for small buys, hence the group order makes it cheaper. It's also great to feel part of the forum by taking advantage of this.

As you may know, BackYardBullion organises a group buy every six weeks or so. This weekend is the last weekend to purchase for July/August buy.

Check out the topic in General Precious Metals for all details.

Hello Steve I love Casio G Shock and Casio Edifice watches (yeah not at top make but I love there build quality and reliability) , I got one or two of each then realised that I can only wear one at a time and if I collected them that would be a lot of batteries to buy over the years to keep them all running.

Welcome to the forum, its a great place with some great people.

Welcome Steve. I would definitely go with the group order rather than buying from europe yourself. Especially if only ordering a few bits. BYB's service is top notch and the shipping you pay from him will be a fair bit less than from the dealer direct. Also means you don't have to set up any accounts or worry about the currency conversion etc.

Like yourself, I'm also pretty new to this and I have found the guys on here to be really great when it comes to sharing thoughts and advice. Whatever you would like to know, don't be afraid to ask as almost certainly someone on here will be able to help/answer your question.

Also, definitely get onboard with a group order - safe, simple and silver at excellent prices :)
