Just had a look through my bullion eagles after seeing @smithy117's post.  I got these from a dealer in exchange for .925 and .500 silver and didn't feel I got a great deal so just squirrelled them way.  Having dug them out, not only are they in better nick than I thought, with some nice date runs/key date but I'd forgotten how nice it is just to handle a coin without a capsule.  They're all in capsules now but reminded me why I like silver.

I hate capsules on my coins but I don't have anything else to put them in and it makes me sad.

If I want to have a play about with my stack I need to sit there and open them all.

Might just stop buying caps for 1oz or silver in general.

I have caps for my semi numismatic new coins and one or two nicer older ones, but the rest is in tubes or loose. I totally get the tactile pleasure of handling one's horde
