Guys - I am working through a number of group order requests at the moment from enquiries earlier this week.

If you have not heard from me already, it would really help for a quick reminder message as it is very time consuming to trawl back through messages to check I have not missed anyone. 

Just in this first little flurry of orders I have processed nearly €3000 worth!

I know some prefer the bigger selection at GS (I prefer more quality control and customer service at EM, and personally won't use GS again) but don't the last few orders from EM show that I am not the only one who favours this? Is the time coming where most group orders are EM and (perhaps strategically with timing of certain releases) the odd one is GS?

Just thinking out loud really, but I would say that EM must be rubbing their hands together with our group orders, while GS don't seem to care one way or another (?).

Well, put it like this. The EU Mint is very happy to work with us. They are sensible and recognise the potential of the market to be tapped into here. We are not talking small change either. Across a year the silver forum group orders could easily top €100,000 worth of business.

I know the manager of the EU Mint is very appreciative of the forum's business and he is constantly looking at ways to be more and more competitive.

Are they looking to get a greater selection of products at EU mint? As far as I've seen, that's the only reason some people prefer gs.be. I know you've said before it's economies of scale etc why they can't offer as many coins, but it would be interesting to know if they're trying to increase the amount they can offer

They are indeed trying. But as you can imagine with any growing business (especially one in the bullion trade) cash flow is king. Imagine if you suddenly had to find €1,000,000 to buy an array of different coins, in bulk for the right price points - all for very low profit margins with the possibility of silver prices dropping and wiping out 5% (or more) of your stock in a few days!

But ultimately yes - one day they will be the new GS.be and have both price and range of selection. 

Of course, buy then we will have Brexited and not able to buy from them!

I know this may be seen as biased because I won't use GS again myself (one too many bad batches) but I really haven't seen much drop off on the total ordered from going with European instead (in fact quite the opposite).

I think BYB has a powerful hand to play here given the size of the orders, and can afford to call it as he wishes. We are talking huge amounts of money that might make or break certain companies - but obviously not GS as they just tell you to **** off if you're unhappy with the quality.

I have only had a good experience with only one group order under my belt. The last one.

I plan on buying £300 worth of the lowest costing silver next weekend..... NOTE that BYB.... please.

I always put away £300 pm. to spend on precious metals.

So payday is Tuesday.... So it means I have to wait until the 7th to place my order or wait.
