Does Goldsilver.be or Europeanmint have any coupons to lower their shipping?

I'd really love to buy from one of these sites, but their shipping costs are outrageous. €30 for me.

Did you not want to join the group order? It really would work out a lot cheaper.

Heya,

This thread may be of interest

I have no way to transfer to that guy, as he doesn't accept Revolut or normal bank transfer. Also, his packages aren't insured, that's a huge risk to take.

So I'll just place the order myself.

I have told you a few times that I do accept IBAN transfers and gave you a number of options for payment including transfer-wise and paypal.

Huh, that's odd, I've always used bank transfers with BYB

He is based in Denmark - so it would have to be an IBAN transfer.

I have said a few times that I am happy to do it though ?

You linked me a TransferWise account that had fees attached to it, I will not pay extra fees for something that should be free.

OK - well I have been through this before a number of times - I have got an ID and money laundering checked and verified account with transferwise (which you have to provide a considerable amount of personal information to including copies of ID and proof of address). So, I am not that keen on having that information sent out to lots of different money transfer services to as to maximise the offerings to customers who want to save £3 when they send £1000

I do the group orders as a favour remember ?

So, even factoring in the £3 extra it would cost you, you still stand to save over €15 or more depending on the size of your order.

My group order is always open if you change your mind, otherwise all I can advise is to contact The European Mint directly and ask for a discount (if you say I sent you to them he might well offer that same discount). Or, place an order with GS.be for €5000 in one go, that will get you free shipping.

It might only be €3, but silver is expensive enough for us Europeans, so the more savings we can get the better. Would be silly not to.

OK - well that may be so for you - but for me it would be silly to throw all my personal information out to every money transfer service out there.

I just didn't like the tone when you said:

It's amazing how people can have that attitude when you are providing a favour service to members. I'm surprised you bother if you get that attitude much.

It is OK - I just try very hard to accommodate as best as possible. It takes a fair amount of time to get quotes together and email people with the screen dumps and payment options.

Let alone recording it all on my spreadsheet, placing the orders, making the IBAN transfers, taking delivery of the items, packaging them, posting them out to people.

What's wrong with my tone? I just stated the truth?  No one forced you to type in this thread, I was merely asking if anyone had any coupons for these specific sites.

This was factually incorrect and "that guy" is easily misinterpreted as a negative tone. So I felt it was only right I set the record straight.

I haven't used Transferwise yet, but I'm curious about the benefits. Do I understand correctly that it's just a bit cheaper than regular IBAN-transfers? (i.e. for me an IBAN-transfer is minimum 7,50 EUR->GBP).

"That is not factually incorrect."

You do not accept Revolut, and you do not accept a normal bank transfer that usually has no fees. You accept TransferWise that has fees.

So it is a 100% factually correct.

I just answered the guy's question as to why I'm not interested in the group order, was not meant to be insulting.

TransferWise has fees to exchange currencies, withdrawing money to bank account and making bank transfers.

Revolut has zero fees on any of those things. And they use the exact same exchange rate.

So Revolut is a no brainer.

Really? Well done, you strike me as a native English speaker? Where did you study?

Technically, alcohol is a solution..

'It [socialism] poses a growing threat, however unintentional, to the freedom of this country, for there is no freedom where the State totally controls the economy. Personal freedom and economic freedom are indivisible. You can’t have one without the other. You can’t lose one without losing the other.'

I feel like I am banging my head against a wall here. You are not really understanding my point here...

Probably for the best that you are not interested in joining the group order after all.

For the sake of saving £1.53 (which was what I quoted you for your order) you have written off the group order.

I guess you will need to find a €30 discount code for one of the dealers in Europe then.
