**JUNE 2018** Group order from GoldSilver.be

Recommended Posts

Welcome to the JUNE 2018 Group Order, this time from http://goldsilver.be/

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY AS IT CONTAINS IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT and JOINING THIS ORDER.

Also, if you are interested in joining this order please "follow" this thread so as and when I have updates I can more easily share them.

Disclaimer

Joining this group order is at your own risk. Please make sure you read the following carefully. I (Backyard Bullion) cannot take financial responsibility for lost/damaged items that are part of this order. By joining this group order you agree to this.

What is the group order all about?

This group order is a way to combine shipping costs for buying silver from Europe. We pay drastically less for our silver because we essentially do not pay VAT. I organise these orders so that people can get cheap silver but also so that I can unbox a large quantity of silver for my YouTube channel. It helps grow my social media, my BYB brand and my reputation within the community.

Last month we used The European Mint

This month, we are going to be swapping back to http://goldsilver.be/

This does not mean we will never use The EU Mint again - it is most likely that we will rotate between the two throughout the year.

It is important to note the above disclaimer and re-iterate it again. I cannot be held responsible if items are lost/damaged when arriving from http://goldsilver.be/. I have an existing account and relationship with them and have had many dealings over the last 2 years with them. By my accounts and standards they have treated me very well and I have faith that they will see us good on this order. That said I cannot guarantee this - we have all seen some of the issues with GS.be recently.

How will the order work?

The way this works is simple. You will decide what you want by looking at their website http://goldsilver.be/ and send me a shopping list of what you want (preferably with hyperlinks to each item!). Please look at the items in € rather than £ if you want an accurate conversion then look on www.transferwise.com as this is what we use to pay GS.be

Once I have your shopping list I will send you a screen dump of the basket and total on their website and then I will send you another screen dump from www.transferwise.com showing the conversion and total in £.

You then send this via PayPal F&F or Banks transfer and as soon as I get the funds I will place the order. Your order is then locked in and confirmed, you cannot cancel after this stage.

When to order and pay Backyard Bullion?

I will only be placing orders on the weekends. I will not be able to place orders mid week unless there are extenuating circumstances. This is simply because I am a busy person and organising and keeping track of these orders is difficult. Feel free to send me your shopping lists during the week but understand that I will not be able to lock it in until the weekend - this is just the way it has to be so be aware that prices may fluctuate in the run up to the weekend. I would rather do it like this than potentially forget or miss recording orders and making mistakes.

Deadlines & Timelines for this order

The order will close on Sunday 17th June 2018 @ 8pm UK Time You will need to have got funds to me by then if you would like to order anything. Should there be any delays in this it will mean the group order will be delayed and I will communicate any changes out to people via this thread.

It is therefore likely that you will not receive your coins before the end of June at the earliest

EXEMPT COINS ON THIS ORDER

Because of delays in previous orders we are going to be having a couple of exemptions from this order

Namely:

1 oz silver THE SPADE GUINEA 2018 EAST INDIAN COMPANY £1

1 oz silver TRAFALGAR SQUARE 2018 - Landmarks of Britain

There will be future group orders we can pick these up!

Shipping costs & Share of international postage.

International shipping for this order will be €18 which will be split between all participants of the order according to the % value of your order. You will pay for this at the "onwards postage" part of the order which happens AFTER all orders have been placed.

How do I get my coins from Backyard Bullion?

You will have to pay for onwards postage and packaging from me to you. We will sort out the onwards postage and packaging once the order has been completed. Onwards shipping is at your choice and risk via Royal Mail. It is at this stage that we will sort out the share of international postage.

Please note that anything other than Special Delivery does not provide Precious metals insurance. I (Backyard Bullion) cannot reimburse you for lost/damaged items that are not insured and therefore postage is at YOUR own risk. Please also note that I cannot reimburse anything until a successful claim has been made.

Here is a quick guide as to what the onwards postage costs will be.

5b07e3ccd288d_GroupOrderPostageCosts.jpg.6f7d89c858dd7c4ad112c3d8ed8b78ea.jpg

Please note that the maximum that you can send via Royal Mail Special delivery for a decent price is 2kg (about 55 oz).

If you would like to order more than this please get in touch to discuss shipping options.

Is it worth it to join?

Yes - buying silver from Europe is the single cheapest way of buying silver. Doing it as part of this group order is cheaper still. Some of their coins may be more expensive (the more collectable type coins) but certainly not by much.

Another reason to join the more you buy the cheaper it gets for everybody!

Does Backyard Bullion charge for this service?

I do not charge for you to join this group order. But I do ask for an optional "service charge" in the form of a tip, the suggested amount is £1 per person. I will not be offended or angry if you choose not to pay the "tip" - but bear in mind that proceeds from the tip help feed Mrs BYB a slap up curry as a thank you for helping to package up all of your orders! ;)

The main benefit for me is to be able to unbox a large quantity of silver for my YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/backyardbullion which helps grow my channel, brand and reputation.

What happens in the event of an issue with delivery?

As I said in the disclaimer at the top of this thread, I cannot be held financially responsible for the loss/damage of any items in this group order. GS.be have insurance for their parcels but I have never had to put a claim in and I do not know how likely it might be that something is refunded should it go missing in transit. There is an intrinsic risk in ordering from any international company but I am confident that we will be able to resolve anything that might happen. Please bear this in mind before joining the order.

Have you got any questions?

If you have any questions or would like any more information then please don't hesitate to ask here or via PM.

In the meantime - get me your shopping lists!

One additional item to mention...

CAPSULES

I will be able to order the following capsules as part of this order

2 oz Queen's Beast Capsules

1 oz Perth Mint Dragon Bar Capsules

I am also able to order you empty coin tubes - but please note that that will change the size of your parcel to a "small parcel" rather than large letter.

Under New Arrivals GS.be show a 2017 Privy Britannia but, when you go to it, it says it is not available

https://goldsilver.be/en/1-oz-30-gr/1890-1-oz-silver-britannia-2017-privy-rooster.html

Do you know what that means - was it a new arrival which sold out straightaway or are they still waiting for it?

Could be either. I will keep an eye on them and we will see.

Is it 100% confirmed to be a curry on this one? I think it's important to be clear of the key T&Cs in advance, for all concerned, to save any disappointment later.

:P

Backyard bullion reserves the right to have whatever takeaway he (and Mrs BYB) deems fit!

Tricky one this, the queens beasts from goldsilver last time were not in great condition, fine to stack yes, but not for display box perhaps. However the Briatannias that just came from European mint were excellent, the only blemishes originating at the mint.

I know this has been said of goldsilver before by byb. No doubt I’ll still buy something, or do I sit on my hands and wait for the next european mint group order? Decisions-decisions ?

Up to you mate.

The problem I have is that some people have expressed their disappointment at using the EU mint because they don't have the selection big coins that GS.be have - and some people have expressed dissatisfaction with GS.be quality and service.

So I cannot win which is why we are alternating the orders at the moment.

I appreciate having the difficult decision @BackyardBullion I was merely expressing my dilemma. I am grateful for the opportunity to stack tax free.

Griffins, unicorns and bulls. On the face of it they are fine, but the finish is matted where the coins have been rubbing together. It’s not actually a problem, they are in my stack, I use a different source for the display set.

Pretty sure this means sold out. If they have them coming in on a certain date they state the shipping date. And your order will not be shipped until all items are in stock.

I'd love to join, as European Mint and Goldsilver has outrageous shipping costs to my country (€25-30).

If I order like 20 oz, what will that be in shipping if I join this group order?
