Very very little information out there regarding prices. The London Coin Company, famous for their ridiculously inflated prices have some on ebay for 1,000 gbp, so it is probably safe to say it less than that right now.

Yeah, I've been having great difficulty finding anything other than that company. Seems everyone wants to keep the coin they bought.

Maybe because no one wants to buy at inflated prices, which would mean the coin itself stagnating, greed can have the opposite effect on a coin, if a coin makes £50-£100 it should be considered a win or else you can sit on it for years, FOMO is a wonderful thing in the first month of a newly released hyped coin, thats where your money will be made

Yep. I have one and it is not going anywhere.....til queenie makes it to the next one....and then I will add the 70th to it as none of these milestones have been reached before and hence the coin(s) are historical firsts.

Hi everyone- I am a relatively new member to this forum and as a customer of the Royal Mint so please forgive me if this questioned was asked or answered on a different topic thread but I have a couple of questions that hopefully someone can point me into the right direction. 1) Does anyone know where I can purchase the capsule that housed this coin when it was issued? 2) The 22.05 mm capsules that are sold on the Royal Mint's website; are they "lipped" on one side like the push on capsules that came with this and the George's 5th birthday sovereigns. I really need a replacement of this specific capsule and they are impossible to find especially in the U.S. Right now I'm using a spare screw top capsule that I have from the 2017 BU Strike on the Day sovereign.

The plain edge 65th anniversary  coronation sovereign

Not many about to buy- guess it’s always going to be the case- mintage of only 650- and I guess the initial quick flipping & FOMO has come and gone. I think at a realistic price, there will always be one or two buyers for each one that comes up for sale on eBay.

I see that there are only a couple of offerings on eBay currently - far too high a price.

I’m interested too- I think the release price was £500- The Coin Connection sold at £650 just after release and many members bought at that price from them- the sentiment was bullish about the coin.

Modern proofs/ modern collectible Sovereigns are not making the money they were a year or so ago,

I think this coin should sell between £600- £650 raw and £650 to £750 graded MS70 DPL.

Only my price appraisal/guesstimate.  I guess their true worth is what someone will pay on any given day.

In terms of disclosure I have one of these 2018’s 65th Anniversary and a 2017 200th Pistrucci SOTD’s that I would like to sell- they are both MS70 DPL.

Hi, i think your graded coins should demand a higher premium. A lot of these SOTD were In pretty awful condition and were returned to the mint.. it’s all about condition today.  I think they will sell easily and at a good price...now please offer it to me first will you...

Ha!

They haven’t landed back with me as yet- they are currently in transit from NGC- likely another week or two.

When I see them I’ll probably bottle it in terms of my plan to sell!

I really like these SOTD’s but I’m eyeing up a coin set purchase and will need some extra funds to purchase.

This is one where I was able to get one direct from the RM. Was very excited when it arrived in Austrlia but it had condition problems, was so disappointed. There was clearing frosting missing from the Queens portrait. Returned the coin and was refunded but they had sold out and so no replacement.
