Brass and Alloy Ingots

Recommended Posts

I am looking to get ahold of some Brass and Silver scraps or ingots.

I am in no rush.  On the Flip side

I am looking for one more bit to help me please. I am looking for a Graphite 1 oz round Mold and a 1 Oz rectangular mold that has been lazer cut the ACE of spades.  I do a lot of refining as another hobby and I will eventually want to pour a consistent 1 oz of silver into this mold. I cant find anyone who can cut a Graphite block to help. The details are basic just put a spade in the middle of a normal 1oz graphite mold similar to the 2oz round lions head. This will be for Silver only as I know pouring in any other metal will not be a troy oz.

Thank you. I hope this is in the correct spot.

@jonrms http://www.gngmachineworks.com/

This guy is based in the USA and would be my choice to have these moulds made - he is very professional and I have used him many times before. Primarily he supplies the glass industry but graphite is graphite and works perfectly for my silver.

You will have to do the calculations yourself to work out what size the mould has to be - other than that his work is very good quality.

Thanks for information.

I was hopeful to find someone in the uk with a Lazer Engraver. or a electric router.

I am going to invest in one soon. I have too many ideas and I want to be able to make them up and play. You seen some of my gold and silver...I have a lot that I have tested and are just considered scrap value because of milk marks or acid marks. I add these to another safe which is rather full and ready for smelting.  PS New 2kg smelter on its way!!!!!! Very excited. Still need to do the gold by hand and cruicible because I never smelt more than 5 grams or maybe a little bit more in it at once. Although ...... those nuggets are adding up... Nearly at 1 oz . So will see.

PS Your Kit Kat bars....I have a idea, I will contact you when I am ready, Remember I said I make PENS.
