Thanks for all the feedback. I just received it today and I'm am very impressed with the quality and presentation. I think it was overpriced too but my wife loves the Royal family. I'm more into something that I like for very close to spot.

Funny one, you need to buy this coin because you like it and it means something to you / or your wife.

The Gold Proof 1/4oz Beasts are worth grading especially the Lions as I think the grades come back quite high and this does add value to the coin.

On the royal collections and commemoratives, it certainly something only time will tell.

Best of luck on it.

I new to all this. From what I've seen the Royal Mint makes great proof coins but the three 1/4oz Queen's Beasts bullion ones that I have purchased so far all have marks on the Queen's face. I don't know whether to continue to collect the regular bullion ones or sell those and focus on a different series. If I do decide to sell these, I would probably focus on 1oz bullion coins with low premiums but designs that I like. I really like the South Korea coins when on sale or with eBay bucks.

Proof sovs are the absolute flagship for quality (even the BUNC sovs can be prooflike and very high quality) with very rare problems that I've heard mentioned. Heard a lot more about quality issues with other proofs (e.g. the beasts) with folk having to send them back for replacements.

The bullion is often rather poor imo, though they seem to get some things (e.g. Britannias) pretty right in my experience.
