To whom it may concern, I am a new member of the forum and I am interested in purchasing one of the forum hand poured silver 1oz bars. I don't mind about the number of the bar.

As you can probably guess, I am not very computer literate!

Today was a productive day in the backyard bullion household!

200 bars (+9 spares) finished and ready to be masterfully packaged up by Mrs BYB to be submitted for Hallmarking!

IMG_20180425_184739.thumb.jpg.fc6c01b6b437a1149b8f1b2dcae7788c.jpg

Also, 3 more 250g bars made, need to make 1 more tomorrow (unless someone else wants to get one on this round of submissions!)

All told I did 1500 stamps today. 6 per bar for the serial numbers and 50 bars stamped from scratch for another 300 stamps.

I have earned the large G&T I am sitting on the sofa enjoying with Mrs BYB!

Can you spot your bar?

If you want to buy one, or add to the ones you already have reserved please let me know!

I need to make the mintage 216 next year, then I would have 3 of these boxes completely filled. There is something very annoying about that last box having a few empty spaces!!!!

Now that is a mighty fine looking table of silver!

10kg parcel sent for assay testing today - all 200 forum bars + some 250g bars 22x BYB bars (all sold out!) and some "blanks" just incase there are any mishaps along the way!

Hopefully that means we are about 10 days away from general release and people getting hold of their silver forum bars

Hey everyone - been a while since the last update so here is where we are.

The bars are in for hallmarking and I am expecting them back next week. Which means we will have them shipped by the end of next week (hopefully) - it is going to be a manic week in the BYB household next week doing a 1200 oz unboxing and getting these bars out. Provisionally we are looking at about 120 packages to send out...my local post office is going to love me!

If there are any delays I will communicate it here.

So, I will be messaging everyone who has paid/reserved bars to get your delivery address - if you have ordered bars and are part of the group order I will be combining your deliveries - unless you have said otherwise. For those of you who have group orders I have your address details already but I apologise in advance if I send you a message by accident!

Also - here is an update on the sales of the bars. We have sold 137 bars meaning 63 left for sale. These will sell by the end of the year I have no doubt so if you want some get in touch. If you want to add bars to your existing orders to save on postage, now is the time.

Here is a list of the remaining serial numbers:

71-72, 95-96,103-110, 114-116, 118-121, 124-126, 134-143, 145-149, 153-154, 163-170, 172-177, 181-184, 187, 189-196

Let me know if you want any of those numbers!

Hey guys - should be getting the forum bars back before this weekend! So you can expect your bars to be in the post early next week!

For those of you who are waiting for group orders it may be the back end of next week though!

Also - I have listed a bunch of these 1 oz bars on eBay for £26 each. I have a £1 sellers fee offer so this is why the listing price is £26 on ebay.

But - you may not have seen there is a great ebay offer on at the moment (for the bank holiday weekend)

You get 6x nectar points (works out to be 3% discount) and a bonus £1.25 worth of points if you spend £25 or more.

So if you wanted to buy some of these via eBay (using up some of your own ebay vouchers maybe!?) You could pick one of these up for £24 delivered (when factoring in the cashback).

I have some additional news

I am now able to take debit and credit card payments for any of my hand poured silver.

So, if you would like to purchase these bars using a credit or debit card please let me know.

Obviously I would have to take your card numbers over the phone or by email as I would not be able to do chip and pin/contactless remotely.

But - it is good to have as I will be attending a few craft fairs in 2018! More on that in the future though!

So, if you would like to purchase these bars using a credit or debit card please let me know - there would be a fee of 2.75% to pay to do this - but it is another option for customers.

That's a great option there.

Is iZettle you're using?  they have an option to send invoices by email and the customer just opens the link and pays with the Card on their side.

It is PayPal here for the time being - but maybe other options in the future. It is primarily for selling to trade and when I am out at craft fairs.
