Dug out my whole silver stack today before it goes off to the safe later to gather dust for a couple of years.

Managed to stack this lot in just under 2 months.

1588.1 oz / 49.39kg (inc. the 150g proof panda that hasnt been delivered yet)

Average cost = £14.10 oz which isnt too bad

Great average considering the time frame involved.

I just think that silver is on sale currently, the price is so low you cant go wrong.

The Britannias work out at £13.88 each from Goldsilver.be inc. shipping, you can knock them out on ebay for about £22.  After fees and costs you can still easily clear around £1000 profit on a monster box.  It also gives you some wiggle room if silver price does get smashed down even further.

I have to put a pause on metal spending.

Wife's car insurance due the end of this month.

My car going in for a service beginning of March, first since I have bought it so not sure if its the £1k service or the £2K service due + whatever else needs doing.

Daughters birthday in May.

Wife's 40th June.

Family are expensive lol.

I agree. There are times when you should be going overweight in an asset class just because its so cheap compared to historical ratios, and right now, precious metals, and Silver and Platinum are the outstanding buys of all investible assets vehicles imo.  Only last year oil hit some record ratios and anyone brave enough to have applied the same philosophy would have been very well rewarded since.

It as a monster box so just 20 tubes of 25 loose coins.

You can buy plastic flip cases £3.65 for 100 or 100 capsules for £14.99 on ebay

Cheers! Sorry, I wasn't clear - I meant do you buy caps to sell them the coins in on ebay for £22 a pop, or just shift them raw/in cheap flips.

I'd be nervous on a monster box myself having received scratched and milky tubes of new Brits in the past!

Yes, ill either sell them in capsules at 15p a time it wont break the bank or preferably sell them in tubes of 25.

Not overly worried about milk spots or minor scratches as they are only bullion but shiny and perfect is always preferable.

Has the saying 'When Lambo' become 'When Lambo Service' and  'When Lambo Insurance'?

I have the LP560-4 spyder so its the 5.2 V10 that shares a lot of components with the V10 R8, all parts are subject to the "Lambo Tax" at the main dealers though.

I think post Ferrari 360 (F430 on) they are now chain driven so a lot cheaper to maintain.

At the time I was looking for a car it was a toss up between the lambo, an F430 or 458 Italia or a McLaren 570s/650s.

Ruled out the Mclaren when I looked at the running costs, even a replacement battery is £3k as they use lithium Ion to save a little weight :o
