Great tip

Just need to tick the box , do not show :D

use printing label , one a4 size label divided by 4

u can fold them up to prevent over print as well

if u make a mistake just cancel the label takes three days to refund your money back to your PayPal

A couple of months ago I brought a few proofs from a guy on eBay and as he was local I suggested it would be easier to come collect them myself, rather than have him post them. He wasn't comfortable with me coming to his home address so I suggested meeting outside the local police station.

Just phoned them up to let them know what we were doing (bit dodgey handing over a couple of jiffy bags in return for some cash!).  Certainly made us both feel more comfortable about the transaction.

Just a suggestion.:)

That seems entirely wise though personally I don't trust the police (some interesting stories there which are probably best left to another thread!).

Somewhere weher you are sure CCTV is working sounds good, but easiest and best to also have your own camera (discteet) recording imho :)

Neighbours should be there for one another,

That's when good neighbours become good friends.

What and end up like Harold Bishop?

Meet on a rock and get washed out to sea, officially declared dead, and then turn up five years later without knowing who you are (or presumably what the deal was)? :o

I think that's a bit extreme for a coin deal, surely?!!

Although recording someone without their knowledge/permission opens a can of worms of legal/ethical considerations

In case there are forum members that don’t know:

when you use your your mobile phone to take photos of your pms to put up for sale, unless you you have changed your settings, the photos exif data can be checked by anyone to pinpoint your exact gps coordinates quite accurately.

You should always disable your exif data.

Dislocate the gps setting

akso when I buy something from forum I always look for their activities

someone with lots of post and active in forum are less likely to cause a problem .

I wont see how many they trade and re guardlsss of their membership type , because even if the post are mainly bs like mine :D , at least I got to be here to bs ;)

Before uploading pics if you download to PC first (I know most folk do stuff only on mobile these days  -  it seems I am an old fart lol!) you can wipe most of the EXIF data by right clicking and selecting 'properties' and then deleting it from there. You can be even more secure by downloading free specialist programs from Cnet etc that wipe data.

I would say though that if you've taken the pic on a smartphone the most dangerous people imaginable (the government) already have all your data, same as registering your gold coins with the Royal Mint (more or less) ;)

you mean you guys have the GPS location turned on your phone?

Best to display a photo on yout pc and screenshot it rather than use the original file.

I've done a few deals sat in Morrisons coffee shop:D although best with just  a few sovereigns rather than 500 oz of silver!

I think the forum strips that out when photos are posted.  At least it did on an earlier version.

Someone could do a test.

Well this topic grew unexpected legs. Did i see a Glock mentioned at one point? @Keenstacker just look at the mess you started :D Now you got everyone all twitchy and going around with backup

That meet-up after the coin show will be tense! I'm picturing the scene from "Inglourious B**terds" - the basement bar. Someone's regional accent will be iffy and next thing you know the coffee shop is closed for complete renovations. Oh dear.

:D
