OK - order closed for tonight. We are up to 3200 EURO at the moment and that give us a package weight of about 5kg.

So we are going to be in the 5 - 10kg group which means 86 EURO is the split.

So if you order 50 EURO worth of coins right now your share of international shipping is 1.34 EURO.

Deadline for orders is Sunday next week - so make sure to send me your shopping lists before then!

2017 or 2018? I can hold off ordering the britannias until sunday evening. as long as people join in and pay me before hand. If there is then enough for 100 I will refund the difference to people when I sort out onwards postage.

2017 are the cheapest on the site so I recommend those (I'll be ordering at least one oriental bordered one too)

Short question, do they an automatic pricematch? E.g cheapest bullion silver round or silver Panda 2018 are way cheaper on gs.be ...

We can ask but I cannot guarantee anything.

I will let you know if I hear anything.

I just wanted to give everyone an update on the order as this is the last weekend.

Total value: 3700 EURO and we are in the 86 EURO shipping category.

So if you order 100 EURO of items your share of postage is 2.26 EURO

I also want to quickly address questions around price matching and general cost relative to GS.be

GS.be have cheap silver - we all know this. European mint is a much smaller player in the market and as such they cannot price match everything on the GS.be website. I have asked the manager for price matches on some of the key items that are popular. Britannias, Oriental Britannias, cheapest silver etc. If I get an update I will share it here.

A few people have noticed that you can get cheaper silver from GS.be and also the shipping is cheaper. Yes this is true - but where I (as the organiser) feel we get our value here is the fact that EU mint has a much better ethos regarding delivery and having personally met the manager I have a lot more confidence ordering £5000 worth of other peoples money! Whilst the cheapest possible silver is of course the goal - also me (and Mrs BYB) not shitting ourselves (apologies for the french) when we order from GS.be and it goes dark for 4-5 days!

So it is what it is for this order. Join if you want - it will still be a dam sight cheaper than ordering directly or from a UK dealer.

We will probably use GS.be again at some point as they do have an amazing selection of coins available!

I'm with you on this one, I dread sending anything through the post/ by courier, I lost faith many years ago in any postal service.  I have lost so many items in the post particularly many years ago when I was selling and sending numerous amounts of low ticket items out following sales on eBay, and no redress when they went missing.

I understand totally your apprehension in organising big group orders like this, there will be a massive amount of pressure on you and more yet if the supplier has any kind of ambivalence of which courier/ the insurance they take out.  It wouldn't be pleasant if a consignment like this went 'missing' and it would most certainly be followed by 'the blame game'.  Unfortunately, it is a reality that apart from very few exceptions, sending bullion through the post,  is almost always done without insurance (read any t&c's couriers put out)  or businesses either swallow the cost and pass it on or pay for their own- .  My son sold a nice old Bang & Olufsen Amplifier the other day and was going to use one of the more reputable courier firms, he read the t&c's and low and behold, an explicit exception for insurance purposes was, wait for it... 'Amplifier's'! It took quite an effort to find a courier that would ship it insured.

Modern life has to have risk involved, things do go missing/lost and get stolen and all we can do is minimise the risk, I think @BackyardBullion is absolutely right as an organiser, to ensure that the supplier actually cares about what they are shipping and provide necessary assurances that our investments are safeguarded, at least he won't have to go through the anxiety of 'what if it doesn't arrive', anxiety isn't pleasant and life is too short to experience it.

It's not only the shipping but also the customer service

The belgium approach is rather direct bordering "perceived rude" and the coin handling not particularly delicate. Seeing my 10oz Queens Beast capsule from a previous group order from gs.be you start to wonder if hockey is a national sport.

Just made my order - cheers BYB!

I have to say for Kook fan or simply someone looking for something with a bit of profit in future (unlike Brits and most of the rest) the 2018 Kookaburra Dog Privy is a very good bet at this price imo, I was surprised:

Boom - done and dusted.

5500 EUROS was the total order value.

86 EURO shipping

means 1.56 EURO per 100 euro ordered.

Thanks for joining - you can all expect your onwards postage invoices at some point tomorrow.

I will update when I know the shipping date - there may be a few delays whilst we wait for the Oriental Boarder Britannias.

In theory if there is an "in stock" item that you wanted in the interim we could add it - just let me know.

I will give you a helpful start...

Be interesting to hear how order goes and if all okay will jump in for next one.

I have a lot of confidence in them, having met them and seen their offices, packaging areas etc.

That said...there is a lot of pressure on them to get this order right!
