Is it unwise to uncard a sovereign?

So my first question to the forum  (apologies if covered already but I couldn’t find the answer)

I have a sovereign like this

https://atkinsonsbullion.com/gold/gold-coins/sovereign-gold-coins/pre-owned-2007-carded-uk-full-gold-sovereign-(1)

would you remove it from the card, maybe for example you wanted a different type of storage? I have other sovereigns in capsules and store them in a box but this hangs around outside!

I had a search for carded/uncarded examples to see if it affected the value but price seemed similar, is it just a case of a little extra authenticity when carded so easier to sell? But then wouldn’t a buyer want to take it out to have a close look anyway?

cheers

Steve

If you had a carded silver Kangaroo from the RAM from 2007 it would add about £400 to the price !!

As @metallica73 mentioned a dealer would just tear up the card but selling ( if you plan to sell ) on eBay might gain you a small premium to someone buying their first coin or perhaps giving it as a special gift. I would leave the coin in the card unless it snaps out without damaging the card. Some of these are sealed in a plastic bubble so don't damage that either or cut it.
