Blatant fake sovereign so why are people bidding on it?

It's possible that it's a jewellers copy and so it may have some gold. It could be 9ct. That said there could be no gold at all. Id like to think the 915 is telling you it's 22ct. Doesn't seem like there was ever a 1 there.

 

It would be an absolute punt. Already too highly priced for me to take a punt.

I know he says unsure what it is made of - but he has listed it as a half sovereign, in that category as well. 

He says no returns but we all know that if it is not real eBay will side with the buyer - oh wait...gold no longer covered!

I take back what i said,it looks like a cheap coin with cheap gold paint on it.Even has areas where there's bumps and more depth to the cheap resin/paint.Near the horses mouth,looks like someone soldered a hole then painted over it :P
