Libertad Kilo Prooflike 2017 from Mexico was issued today

I'm thinking about getting one. Anyone knows how these coins normally do it? Do they hold their value or show a nice increase after time? Are they normally sold out quick?

I have the kilo Aztec coin from Mexico, its a nice piece but never tried to re-sale.  Its very similar to this coin.

You will definitely have to show that one @PolarPanda and have you completed the 1oz bu date run yet? Got mine done thus week and looks great the pics are on the lib photo thread

That does look gorgeous.  I was tempted to order one but ordered a 1 kg BU instead.  Mintage figures I've seen on other forums and elsewhere are only 200 for this year.

So i see! Congrats, wow nice profile picture!  I wouldn't be able to pack away those beauties into storage, ever! I would probably end up making one of those shrines around them, lots of candles, incense stick, the small curtains etc etc. Maybe it's just as well i will never own them!

I bought the 2016 prooflike kilo for my son who was born in 2016.  It’s currently sitting in a safe deposit box and I’ll give it to him when he graduates.  It’s a beautiful coin and well worth the price in my opinion.

i picked up the 2018 version of the 1 kilo prooflike Libertad (exact same presentation as the 2017 photo captured on this thread).  2018 Mintage was 1,000 and it is one hell of a coin.  i'm sure hoping it will grow in value over time, it's a reasonable assumption with such limited mintage (certainly not as low as 2017 mintage of 500).  it's stunning to look, no doubt about it!
