My 1st Half Sovereign! A very generous gift. It has met some of it’s older siblings aka “Full Sovereigns” and it fits in well with it’s bigger brothers and sisters!

Today i was lucky to receive a hand made three layer box from my father in law for all my bullion and collectible coins. 

The handles and brass hinge’s are recycled from scrap. All the wood was recovered from leftover cuts.

I have to scratch my post about being a bad bad boy and getting nothing for christmas, the present didn't arrive but my post should change, I went out to fill the car,bought a scratch ticket and won $100, got home to find my wife on the speaker phone with my airforce pilot son and my beautiful daughter in law...and the second I walked in my son announced they were expecting....I'm going to be a grandad...That is a great Christmas, so I received the best news anyone could hope for at Chrstmas....stuff the present...I got what I always wanted.

Got this yesterday for Christmas. I knew I was getting it for about 2 months so couldnt wait.

Not seen many about but I know @5huggy has a set. 

Its a 1992 18 coin Silver Proof Anniversary set to Celebrate QEll 40th Coronation. 

Spectacular condition and bought for less than Spot price at the time.

2019 has been an unusual year for me. Discovered this place, moved away from collecting to stacking. What will 2020 bring? Hopefully lots of reasonably priced gold and silver!! 

I’ve ended 2019 by starting a new silver stack. Thanks to @Jamesd, @StackSellRepeat And @arshimo2012 for this nice group of silver. Special thanks to @Jamesd for the 1916 Half Crown which was an additional Christmas present and is tempting me back to collecting but. I. Must. Resist.

Received some Air tite tubes from @morezone today - thanks for the quick delivery especially over Christmas.

Everything all compacted and ready to go into a safe deposit box tomorrow, 35oz of Gold, 20oz of silver. If I’m being honest the silver is going in just to bulk it out as 35oz of gold doesn’t look like much haha.
