 Can't believe I got this nice bit of history from the SS Gairsoppa ship 🚢  That went down in 1941 in Irish waters 💦 

 Struck down by a German U-boat.

 Silver recovered in 2013 from the depth of 15,000 feet...

 I picked mine up at private auction.

 I think it's the coolest  bit of silver I've purchased to date...

 Definitely a keeper...

 Usually it goes into a safety deposit box  but this one I'm keeping at home for display...

 Such a cool story attached to it  Great talking point.

 At the end of the day it's still 10 ounces of silver.... but a pricey 10 ounces lol 😂

Received one of the 3 "rare" silver circulation Escudos coins today (1937 10$00 Escudos).

Not cheap, but certainly paid a lot less than those listed on eBay and the local Portuguese dealers for a similar grade. 

Only 7 left to complete, including 5 currently on their way in the post! Problem is, the other 2 are c. £350-£500 each.....

Everything is fine hopefully. I can't be of any help, but I can't imagine toning on a new coin. 

This is a beautiful coin with a lot of relief.

Received these 2016 1/20th Libertads today care of @ilovesilverireallydo Thanks. 

I bought this 2017 1 Onza Libertad from @kneehow2018 in Summer 2018, But only submitted it recently- back today from NGC- and very pleased with the PF70 UC result.

And at last, the 2017 Libertad 5 coin ‘set’ altogether.  

All bought individually from the Silver Forum over the last 18 months or so.  Thanks to @augur, @austack, @kneehow2018 & from the USA @mongo28 for parting with them.

Yes- and the 1/2 & 1/4 'need' a 'special' México blue label.  

On an optimistic note- the 1/2 Onza was bought already graded and @mongo28 submitted it originally to NGC without conservation.  I cannot see any imperfections on this coin except a couple of areas where there is what looks like, some surface detritus- likely a bit of dust.  Over time, I will likely resubmit to NGC for conservation and reappraisal.  

I live in hope.

Just noticed the Britannia's are 1987 as well, first year produced. Given they aren't mint condition I doubt that adds a premium, but a nice pair to receive nevertheless!
