Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

Not received today, actually back in September when my wife and I did the Royal Mint Gold VIP tour. During the tour you can strike your own sovereign and here it is!

Based on the price of the Gold VIP tour (£480 according to https://www.royalmint.com/the-royal-mint-experience/vip), I assume that's not a 1 oz coin?

Nevertheless, cool experience! :D Tempting to do this myself on one of the next times I'm going to the UK.

I believe the cost of the tour does NOT include the cost of the SYO coin.

What’s with the attitude? You asked a question and I answered it.

Let's keep a long story short by saying your answer came across to me in a smartass kind of way. My bad, sorry about that.

But lesson learned, I just should have googled it before asking the question over here in the first place...

At long long last..my date run of French 20 Francs Angels is complete, and comes to an end (and an expensive one☹️)!. With kind assistance from @augur I managed to get the ‘Torch’ engravers mark on an 1896....bought at the Gadoury auction in Monaco earlier this month.

This will fit in nicely with the little hoard below...note the difference between the two 1896’s.

Congratulations - you just need a slabbed set now, and then the top Registry Set 😁

Due to a complete lack of funds I only managed to get one of the lots I wanted from the Gadoury auction - it hasn't arrived yet ☹️

How come each time you make an expensive acquisition my name is mentioned? Last time the two Albanian 20 Franga (1926R/1927V Skanderbeg)

Sounds almost as if I was bad influence for you 😂
