Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

There are some things that are just way too interesting to pass on.  This came at a bit of a premium but I loved it. Look at the detail! And it’s 1944!

In those times you could be studying needlework in the Institutes of Technology!

Odd there are no hallmarks but tests fine.

I got my C&G qualifications back in the 70’s, I didn’t get a fancy gong.

I’m going to sulk.

If you were a paratrooper in '44, you'd be happy to know this!

Technically, alcohol is a solution..

'It [socialism] poses a growing threat, however unintentional, to the freedom of this country, for there is no freedom where the State totally controls the economy. Personal freedom and economic freedom are indivisible. You can’t have one without the other. You can’t lose one without losing the other.'

"There is no such thing as public money, there is only taxpayers' money"

Let not England forget her precedence of teaching nations how to live.

Just this rat coin :P It's a pretty nice coin compared to the others in the series.

It's nice and I'm thinking of getting the proof, really low mintage and not very well advertised... could be a winner in future years. Both silver and gold.

Here's a dual unboxing from APMEX - two rolls of 90% silver halves! I was really amazed by some of the things I found here, such as the 1918-S and the XF/AU examples - most of the time people only tend to find 42's and 43's in average circulation Walking Liberty rolls, so this was a pleasant surprise.
