Received these from El Dorado Coins today. Grabbed another Lion of Mortimer as in the flesh I actually like the coin. 10oz Falcon looks good too. But out of this lot I like the  Irish Red deer the most, really good looking coin.

Here's an unusual addition to my collection - a 1 kilo Geiger copper bar! This will probably be the first kilo bar for any metal that I own for quite a while, although I'm pretty sure my total silver collection weighs more than that at the moment. A silver kilo bar is definitely one of the things I'd like to own soon!

Just received from grading, with mixed feelings. Some failures (can't seem to avoid them...) but some very good results too. The latest submission was mostly medals, which is pretty new area for me. Two excellent grades, with 68 being pretty difficult for such older coins. And I like a lot the two toned ones, look really nice. Pretty troubled with the Details one, I think NGC are (or have become) very strict with scratches, as it really doesn't seem to have anything serious. 🤔

I got also some German Gold.

It is 1/2 oz Gold "Dom zu Speyer" 100 Euro.

I made a quick video about the coin and the gold silver ratio. 

For 1/2 oz Gold we get 43 ounces silver! 

So I put

2 x 5 oz Black Flag + 5 oz Libertad+ 10 oz Lunar II pig  + 10 oz Kookaburra + 8 oz Kookaburra = 43 oz Silver

on the table to illustrate the gold silverratio 1: 86

Last week, I noticed the price for silver having taken a bit of a dive. So I, maybe naively, decided to use my budget for December to take a gamble by placing an order at GS.be, despite all the negative things I have seen and read about their customer service department. 

Luckily I didn't need them, and I must say, they shipped out very quickly. If it wasn't for FedEx being such a pain, I could have even had this last Monday already. 

Anyway, I did feel like making this more of a stacking order rather than a collectible one, and I decided to take a bit of pretty much everything... 😂 The coins (which all appear to be in great condition) are still in bags, I'll get busy repacking them into capsules tonight, but I have gotten me... 

3x 1oz Two Dragons, 1x 1oz Batavia, 4x 1oz Kangaroos, 4x 1oz American Eagles, 3x 1oz Maple Leaves, 2x 1oz Maple Leaves Superman, and the ones I'm the happiest with; 3x 2oz Canadian Mounted Police.

On the face of it (or Obverse) take your pick! having received these coins today, all 1.51oz of them, should have been one of those days as you will have all experienced- collector or stacker alike- a day that fills you full of warmth and optimism that some point in the future, reward for your hard work and investment risk will be rewarded. 

Unfortunately, and an understatement, receiving these coins from two different dealers hasn’t met my expectations- and that warm feeling has not being forthcoming.

I have had redress that has left me satisfied from one of the dealers however, the other one has left me- it’s difficult not to swear at this point- extremely disappointed to say the least. 

I’ll put up a thread later with a thorough explanation of my cryptic post, so that everyone here gets a flavour of what Customer Service actually means to two particular dealers.

Sorry, buddy, for your less than treasured experience in receiving these, what I know to be intended, gems being added to you collection.☺️This is impressive with the three dominations of Chilean gold pesos. And the 700 mintage of the 2017 1/2 oz Gold Libertad is delightful. Looking forward to hearing more details of your experience.

My budget is also a little tight before Christmas, so rather than buy any sovereigns for my beautiful box - i bought some Royal Mint Sovereign capsules (for the sovereigns i can't afford). 😆

£4.60 each delivered. Bargain! Probably my best investment in precious metals to date.....................
