Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

95% of our laws were made by the British establishment The other 5% is what the Irish government have managed to **** up since.. 😂😂

Yes we get gang raped too on taxes... same rates

Pity. But oh well, guess you can at least consider yourself lucky you don't have an Eirexit to worry about, so trade with the rest of the EU won't be a massive b!tch for you. :)

Well today I received what I think is Shipwreck Silver. The Coin is Horse Rider Ducaton from the Dutch province West Friesland - All the specifics match. I am just not sure which specialist to take it to for real evaluation. It was part of a 5KG silver coins blind buy.

It could be 1 of the 50.000 silver coins from the Hollandia shipwreck.

The coins were found in 1971.

Here’s some more info. (In dutch)

My German numismatic expert thinks so too. He said the markings are consistent with salt water damage and other Hollandia coins he’s handled. But without provenance can’t be marketed that way

As promised (because you were ALL so excited when I mentioned this on the chat yesterday...) please see below the Christmas edition of Minty and the original edition. They are a lovely little set of piggies.

The Snowman Minty is still being weened off at the Mint. Should be with his new family soon. Will do a family shot when he arrives...

@Kookaburracollector is such a great admirer of this design, he might throw in his snowman coin.
