Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

What shadow? I don't see it...

Think they're referring to the slightly speckled-looking area (if you go straight down from 1OZ in line with the NA of Britannia).

As it's on all of them I expect it's an artifact of a slight difference in the pattern that occured during minting - I think I have a 2017 Britannia with a similar look.

My Matt BU 2019 five sovereign piece arrived yesterday.  I am also showing the 2015 BU five sovereign piece in order to show the colour / finish difference.

I've noticed on my Victoria Strike on the Day too... the detail on the Matt finish seems more crisp than on a normal BU or bullion coin... more similar to a proof finish in clarity.

And BTW, I just got home from work and I wanted to see if I had a capsule to display this beautiful bar in.  For those of you interested in the same, I can confirm that the Britannia bars fit perfectly in the air-tite 10 oz silver bar capsules.  Snug on all sides and top/bottom with no rattle.

I appreciate the novelty value as they are tiny but are these worth buying at £10 each?

The 0.5gm TDC crowns? Well they are pure gold - spot price just under £20 - so at £10 I would buy all you got :P

@shawy2510 is your football spherical or flat, since there were two versions?

Hard to tell, it looks flat on the football side but very very slightly concaved if not flat.

I think its the normal version
