Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

The proof half collection must be coming on admirably @richatthecroft?

Yes, coming along nicely- I cocked up with the 2007 Half- I already had this one 😮.   I'm trying to achieve a nice date run of Doubles too 😉.

I can't seem to land a 1998 Half for decent money and same applies to the 2015 Jody Clark 5th Portrait Half.

Sounds like the same tale @JunkBond tells!

Don't miss it.

Interesting, usually the full sov carries the biggest premium?

has already provided me a pointer for the 2015- I'm just too tight to put the asking price down!  The 2015 Jody Clark Sovereign is infinitely better value.

Do you perhaps know the mintage figures of the 2015 different sizes, by both obverse portraits separately? I'm compiling a mintages spreadsheet and lack these.

I always land myself in trouble with Sovereign Mintage figures 😂- apparently, Spink is the most accurate resource- but according to Marsh (2017)- 2015 Sovereign and Half Sovereign figures:

Half- 4th IRB Portrait= 4,600 and 5th JC Portrait= 1,100 & Sovereign- 4th IRB Portrait= 9,800 and 5th JC Portrait= 8,800

Don't update your spreadsheet just yet- I'm sure I'll be corrected here.

Those gold queens beast are really nice definitely on my radar

I doubt I'm going to collect the series in gold as I'm mainly going to focus on the 10oz and 2oz silver versions.

It is a great series as we all know so if it floats your boat then look keep a look out for good deals
