The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. I am looking at these more and more and do like them

Anyone got any for sale

Sorry Mike just started getting into them myself and am trying to stick to quality coins with decent details.

I can't remember seeing any for sale on the Forum.

That's what sort of stops me they are twice the price of decent 1oz .999 coins

Plus the value is mainly on the fine and above which can be upwards of 10x spot

In may just finish my silver buying and start on my gold thinking either sovereigns or 1/4 gold beasts

😁

Yes you’re looking at putting down more than an oz bully equivalent in £ to get a pretty worn one.

Auction at the end of this month;

I am really fond of South-East Asia culture and architecture. This year the Tiffany Art Serie has highligted Angkor Wat and the Khmer style. I didn't  know this serie before and I decided to order this release. This is a real shock as I have never seen such a beautiful coin, way way way above everything I have seen. Thanks to the the "Smartminting" technologie, we are able to get this incredible level of details and reliefs.

I have tried my best to highlight the coin and the details, but it was really chalenging as it was not with a macro lens ;  I had to shoot in low light to get what I wanted. With this low light, I need a large aperture (that softened the details, and narrowed  the depth of field), and higher iso to get a decent speed but creates noise...

I have managed to get some macros with my phone and a special macro lens, the pictures are not good, but you can see the incredible level of details, all in a 5 cm diameter.

I am hooked by this piece of art and I am pleased to share it with you. I will definitely not flip it ! Grab it at the "low price" while you can if you are interested ...it really worths it

Ok, this is not a forum about photography technics so enjoy ☺️

This piece is indeed remarkable in its medal like depth and detail. Not less remarkable the is the disappearance of the culture that created the temple complex and how it has survived millennia in the jungle climate. Or was this temple city in use more recent than his story ans want us to believe...

I love detailed art, one reason I love deep relief carving and coins...but when you can have as mu h fun looking at a coin through a microscope because it's so detailed...that makes it extra nice.
