2017 Proof Sovereign

Bought this 2009 proof half sovereign for the price of a bullion version in my local high street. Appears to have been handled on one edge. It was either this one or a beaten up 1980's half. I've never tried to clean a proof before so what would be the safest way to remove the marks on it?

The marks are on the plastic and made worse by my bad photo skills.

Provident Metals 2oz Egyptian Gods Series High Relief Rounds sold by @richatthecroft I have been looking for these rounds for a while now just goes to show if your patient enough you will get rewarded. These are the set of the first 4 released: Cleopatra, Anubis, Sobek & Khnum.

I've got two halves I'm going to try and clean. a 1980 and 1982. They're only findermarks from what I can tell. I've read up and I've decided to go with Acetone and distilled water.

those plus a cheap and cheerful ultrasonic bath  - - can - - (not always) but can lift away the grease marks of fingers

just dont rub or wipe - gold is too soft and you will not fix that!
