Is she like the tooth fairy?? Do you have teeth like Goldie??? And How many teeth did you leave out for her???

No teeth were removed or damaged in the purchase of this half Sovereign...

Went to my local coin shop this morning, since I am filling in some US coins.

1992 & 2001 Silver Proof Sets : 1992 was the first year they introduced these. 90% silver on the half, quarter, and dime. 1999 was the first year which included the State Quarters. That set a bit expensive. The 2001 has the NY quarter, my birthplace NY City. Eventually I want all silver sets up to present.

1942 & 43 Liberty Halfs ; ok condition. I have the 1945. I need the 1940, 41, 44 now.

He has very few British coins. These he gave me free. I thought the Diana was nice, too bad it's 1967 and not 1961 her birth year.

I have a question about Canadian coinage. Were there ever shilling, sixpence, crowns, etc in Canada?

My first order with @ElDoradoCoinsdotDe very happy. All present and correct, coin/cases in good nick, well packaged, will be using again. :)

Also loving that the German for coin gloves is basically 'money hand-shoes'

Great stuff...gotta have those supplies if we want to collect proper :)

Yeah, I think I'm a bit too fond of fondling things for graded coins to work for me. Also I am not sure I could really tell the difference between a mediocre AU versus an MS etc

AU isn't necessarily a mediocre grade especially if it was minted in the San Franciso or Carson City mints but then most CC's at any grade are in demand in the process of hunting for some morgans myself :) not CC though.

My 2010 American silver proof arrived today that I won on eBay. Didn't expect to win the bid but maybe because it wasn't listed with full details that it went unnoticed by most other buyers on the bay.

Nice to bag such a beautiful coin, particularly at a favourable price ?

I didn’t see the comments you’re referring to but ignore the trolls if that’s what they were doing. Your coins, your money, your choice!

World would be a boring place if we all like the same thing

1986 Proof Silver Eagle -- I think @Numistacker will like this. 1st year but still high mintage 1.4 million.

1965-70 Proof Sets -- only the Kennedy's are 40% silver. The 65-67 are called Special Mint Sets. Just showing a few examples.

!976 Silver Proof Set -- all 40% silver.

The pictures make the coins look smudgy and toned but they aren't ;)

This may well be the nicest coin I own, had to get it to match my BU version.

These will be so sort after imho with a mintage of only 750, had to grab this PF70. This is only available in the 5 coin "long set", which were 3300 RRP and have sold for 5300 on ebay already, only a few for sale atm at 6-8k.

Just to clarify I don't grade coins, and I didn't buy the long set (bought the 3 coin premium and didn't even know they were releasing this). I bought the 5sov BU, and thought that was it, when I realised this was around I had no choice but to buy it ?

Extremely happy with it though, no doubt it'll be highly sought after for years to come.
