Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

I am not a specialist but from what a recall there are NO general circulation coins bearing his portrait.

The ones that exist were stolen from the Mint or passed out unauthorised.

A brass threepence at auction if real would fetch between £15,000-£30,000

infact from the listing seller makes it clear it’s a copy

The ONLY way for most of us to own one of these is with this modern copy.

Oh..a little cheeky. In the title he says "Rare"

Obverse 1 and 2 combined with 1840's, 50's and 60's.

So one of each of the portraits and all the decades up to Jubilee except a 38/39.

Also looking out for 1891 and 1893 in EF/AUNC

Then random young heads of different years VF till the money's all gone.  :D

Well you did ask. ;)
