The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. I don't! I have a set of Lorica segmentata and various roman weapons but all are of course replicas.

I have thought about Roman coins but I dare not jump down that rabbit hole.

That's the main reason I haven't gotten into Roman or ancient coins.  I've got some sovs and a bit of 19th-20th century world gold, but that's about as far as I've gone.  Ancient and medieval coins do hold a certain temptation, though.

The Sovereign is the quintessentially British coin.  It has a German queen on the front, an Italian waiter on the back, and half of them were made in Australia.

Ancient Roman Gold & Silver coins, Medieval, Pirate Gold & Silver coins along with 19th-20th Century World Gold coins is what keeps

my clock ticking when it comes to collecting. The eye appeal and history is exceptional.

Certain US & Sovereign etc.. Gold & Silver are certainly all that as well but when you add the aforementioned then

unquestionably you can enjoy coin collecting that much more imo.

I'm not a fan of coloured coins but this looks cool to me! Saw the pictures online and I was not really impressed but it looks a lot better in real life now that I've seen your pictures. Nice piece to have in the collection. 👍

A nice 2023 1/4 Gold Standard from the Trial section of the RM auction.

These were all sold abroad so it seems so not many in the UK.

Nice to have cert number 1 even though pretty meaningless as these are trial coins!

A nice one to get, and even more different to the coins that went off to the US as this one isn't actually a coin 🤯

Yes pleased to pick this up. The other denominations of the GS in the sale went for daft money. One for the numismatic box rather than the stack 🙄
