Today I Received.....

Message added by ChrisSilver

The Today I received section is for private individuals to share items they have purchased for their collection / as part of their investment.

The Today I received section is not to be used for businesses to promote their business. Trade members and those operating as a business in the eyes of the forum are invited to enquire about a Dealer Sub Forum, where you may start your own Today _____ received topic to post your commercial purchases. E.g. The Today Chards Received..... topic.

This 1887 S sovereign arrived today...

The year 1887 is often synonymous with Queen Victoria’s Jubilee Head, but for part of the year the Sydney (and Melbourne) mint did continue to use the Young Head, which is what this is...

The Australian Branches also produced some Young Head Shield Back sovereigns in 1887 but these are very scarce to rare.

Very nice😊

Couple of silver bars from Mick D

If you don't mind me asking @motorbikez how did you manage to buy Barid & Co Silver without paying VAT? How did @MickD come across these? Go into any Jewelers in the UK they always have the Baird & Co official price list very recognisable form of PMs.

I would have bought these on e-bay.  I'm now moving away from stacking and back to numismatics.  Not a VAT expert but I don't think it's applicable either to my purchase or my selling on.
